Busworld Türkiye 2026 to showcase the growth story of Turkish Bus Industry
The 11th edition Busworld Türkiye 2026 is set for June 17-19 in Istanbul this year. The country’s largest exhibition on buses and coaches will spotlight the expanding market amid global demand for buses and components.
Turkey, officially the Republic of Türkiye, is one of the biggest and most-happening market for the bus and coach industry, not just for vehicle demand but in terms of manufacturing and R&D. The country has a strong base line to grow from, especially in terms of vehicle renewal opportunities due to aging fleets, emerging demand for public transport, and considerable investments on vehicle and components manufacturing and exports in the Eurasian region.

Amid rising competition and technological transformation, Türkiye is positioning itself as a major production and export hub in the global bus industry. It is in this backdrop that the Busworld Türkiye 2026 is returning to Istanbul this year to showcase and reflect on the demand and growth story of the Turkish bus industry out loud.

The extravagant bus fair will build on the success of its previous 2024 edition, which recorded 12,366 professional visitors from 96 countries. The expo hosted vehicle displays from leading manufacturers, namely Anadolu Isuzu, BMC, Bozankaya, HABAŞ, Karsan, Otokar, and IVECO Bus among others. The overwhelming success of event reinforced Busworld Türkiye as a crucial event for the bus and coach industry in the country and beyond.
High prospects for this year
The upcoming 11th edition is already up to a great start. According to the organizers, about 161 exhibitors have confirmed their participation so far, marking a strong influx of new companies. This includes some 30 new domestic exhibitors, augmented by international players from China, Germany, Mexico, Italy and Taiwan. The exhibition area will increase this year from 9,862 sq. m to 11,358 sq. m, enabling more space for vehicles, components and solutions across the entire supply chain.
We are very pleased with the continued growth of Busworld Türkiye. Türkiye plays a crucial role as a production and export country — not only for vehicles, but also for components and technologies. It is encouraging to see this reflected in the exhibition’s results, and we are convinced that Busworld Türkiye will continue to grow – Vincent Dewaele, General Manager of Busworld International.
In addition, Türkiye is also renowned for its leadership in minibus design and production. As was the case in the 2024 edition, the Busworld Türkiye 2026 is expected to highlight mini and midi buses from leading local manufacturers, underscoring the country’s reputation for innovation and quality in this segment.
This apart, smart technologies and fuel-efficient bus solutions will gain traction. The focus on exports will be intact, strengthened by EU clean vehicle rules and JIVE projects for fuel cells. Rising investments in EV charging and local production position Turkey for sustained expansion in this segment.
