Eicher Pro X EV: Electric version of new SCV range launched | Auto Expo 2025

The new range of mini-trucks developed by VECV is named as ‘Eicher Pro X’. The EV versions will be available with two battery pack options. CNG and Diesel variants to follow suit.

Eicher Pro X range debuted at Auto Expo 2025 Motor Show

Eicher Trucks and Buses has officially launched the ‘Eicher Pro X‘ range of small commercial vehicles (SCV) that were under development since last year. At the on-going Auto Expo 2025 Motor Show, the company commercially launched the electric version of the Pro X mini-truck targeting last-mile transportation in India.

The Eicher Pro X mini-trucks underwent extensive customer trials since mid of last year. The market launch-readiness of the new vehicle is on schedule as stated previously. With the launch of the EV, the Pro X CNG and diesel variants will follow.

The manufacturer is targeting the highly contested mini-truck segment, especially finding a sweet spot between the 2 – 3.5 T category. The Pro X range also charts a new business avenue for the Eicher brand, part of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), after the discontinuation of the Eicher Polaris Multix several years ago.

The EV versions of the Eicher mini-truck will be offered with two battery pack options – 32 kWh and 40 kWh. In terms of GVW, two options are up for grabs – 2,995 kgs and 3,490 kgs variants. Rated payload for the e-trucks is 1,700 kgs, although the 40 kWh battery variants get an additional 60 kgs. Power and torque output (max) are rated at 80 kW and 300 Nm respectively.

Dimension wise, the Pro X EV measures 5,105 mm long and 1,750 mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2,730 mm. The loading deck is 3,340 mm long, offering one of the best loading space in its segment. The gradeability of the mini-truck is rated at 24 percent.

The cabin of the mini-truck is ergonomically designed with lie-flat seats and air-conditioning option for driver comfort. The steering is electronically-powered, while the vehicle shifts between three drive modes – Eco, Power and Regen – automatically to achieve maximum efficiency. Regenerative Braking technology aids the system in this regard.

Some of the key tech features of the EV include infotainment system, reverse camera, Driver Sleep Management and Forward Collision Warning systems, Remote Immobilizer, and Hill Hold Assist. In addition, Eicher’s advanced telematics with FOTA updates can also be availed by users. Moreover, the Eicher Pro X will be supported by a “born-digital dealership network” towards higher uptime and ease in accessing charging networks.
