Tata Ace Gold+: Most affordable diesel mini-truck with lower TCO
Tata Motors has launched the Ace Gold+ diesel mini-truck for a starting price of ₹5.52 lakhs. It is designed for exceptional performance and lower total cost of ownership (TCO), targeting first-time and value-conscious entrepreneurs.
Tata Ace mini-trucks needs no introduction in India. The product range is synonymous with superior reliability, performance and value-for-money proposition. Spanning multiple variants and load configurations across diverse fuel categories, the Ace is a real ‘ace’ that redefined the mini-trucks segment to reach new heights in the domestic market.

Taking forward the product’s success story is the newly-launched Tata Ace Gold+ variant. Designed for low-cost, last-mile transportation, this mini-truck is the most affordable diesel version in the entire range of Ace sub-brand. Perhaps, it is also one of the most competitively priced product in its segment, with a starting ex-showroom price tag of ₹5.52 lakhs.

With a rated GVW of 1,815 kgs, the Ace Gold+ boasts a payload capacity of 900 kgs. The mini-truck is powered by a turbo-charged, intercooled DICOR diesel engine that generates a maximum of 22 PS of power and 55 Nm of torque (in POWER mode). It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
A unique feature of this powertrain is its Lean NOx Trap (LNT) technology. This eliminates the need for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), despite being compliant to BS-VI emission norms. Evidently, the technology promises lower maintenance and operating costs.
Further, the Ace Gold+ comes with dual driving modes – POWER and CITY modes. The CITY mode offers reduced power (17 PS) and torque (40 Nm), but ensures superior mileage and efficiency for urban driving conditions. The truck’s maximum gradeability at the rated GVW is 30 percent (in POWER mode).

To conclude, the new Tata Ace Gold+ takes forward the legacy of the ‘Ace’ brand of mini-trucks, thanks to its upgraded dynamics, efficient performance and lower operational costs. The truck can support multiple load deck configurations, to suit diverse cargo applications in last-mile logistics.
