The year 2022 was jam-packed with a host of exciting electric vehicle reveals and commercial launches in India, including jaw-dropping products for commercial applications as well.

1. Tata Ace EV

Tata Ace EV

The latest all-electric iteration of Tata’s most popular Ace minitruck is significant step in enhancing EV adoption in short-haul and last-mile delivery in India. Claiming a driving range of 154 km in single charge, the e-truck is powered by a 21.3 kWh LFP battery pack to generate a max power of 27 kW. The vehicle is fast-charging enabled as well.

2. Switch EiV 22 Double-Decker

Ashok Leyland’s EV subsidiary Switch Mobility made a redefining statement to electric mass mobility with its double-deck battery electric bus EiV 22. It features 231 kWh 2-string liquid cooled NMC battery pack with dual gun charging system. With a passenger capacity of 65, the bus can drive up to 250 kms in single charge in city driving conditions.

3. EKA E9

EKA E9 e-bus

EKA Mobility, subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries, introduced a vibrant midi electric bus in India, with in-house design and development. The E9 e-bus comes loaded with tech features and powerful electric powertrain generating 200 kW and 2500 Nm of power and torque respectively. It also follows CCS2 charging protocol with fast charging capabilities.

4. Switch EiV 12

Switch EiV 12

This is Switch Mobility first product for the Indian market – a 12-metre low-floor city bus to compete in the already popular electric bus segment in the country. It offers modular battery packs providing a range of up to 500km per day with the aids of double-gun charging system. High-energy density NMC batteries are its USP, while connected features and safety equipment make EiV 12 a complete package.

5. OSM ViCKTOR

Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) phenomenal emergence in the Indian EV space is yet again proven by its latest product ViCKTOR. Claimed as world’s longest range E3W, it is capable of offering 250 kms range in single charge, thanks to best-in-class 20 kWh advanced lithium-ion battery pack.

Mahindra Zor Grand

The Zor Grand is Mahindra Electric latest E3W to take on the cargo and last-mile delivery segment in India. Its li-ion battery pack promises more than 100 kms per charge, with the vehicle offering 12 kW power, 50 Nm torque, and 11.5 degree gradeability.
