Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder: AT for AWD, 6 airbags, more feature upgrades
The 2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder receives exciting and advanced feature enhancements, including a 6-speed automatic transmission for AWD and 6 airbags as standard fitment for all variants.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has given its best-selling Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV a model-year upgrade for 2025. The manufacturer has introduced a host of feature upgrades to redefine safety, comfort, and driving convenience of its SUV users. The SUV’s ex-showroom price now starts at ₹11.34 lakh, up by ₹20,000 from before.
The Hyryder has already sold more than 1 lakh units in India, thanks to its versatility, decent packaging of equipment and brand reliability. The self-charging, strong hybrid SUV blends dynamic performance and fuel efficiency with premium driving and ownership experience.

At the heart of the 2025 MY upgrades is the new 6-speed Automatic Transmission, which replaces the 5-speed manual gearbox in AWD variant. An Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) has also been added to AT variants for added convenience and safety.
Further, Toyota has made structural enhancements to the car’s body shell for improved overall safety. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder now gets 6 airbags (driver, front passenger, front sides, and curtain) as standard across all of its variants. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) will also be offered in more trims than before.
In terms of interior comfort and convenience, the upgrades include 8-way adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, LED spots and reading lamps, and a rear door sunshade. The speedometer is now revised for improved readability and clearer information display, while an Air Quality Index Display has been added to select variants.

It is to be noted that the 2025 MY update doesn’t bring any exterior facelift to the car. However, dual-tone exterior colour options are now on offer for select variants to enhance styling choices. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is powered by the same 1.5-litre K-series engine mated to a hybrid system and a 5-speed manual gearbox (non-AT variants).
