Bentley’s new bombshell is an SUV – EXP 9 F Concept

If there is one vehicle that created the most design stir at Geneva, the 2012 EXP 9 F was it. Bentley showcased its first ever dramatic SUV concept at the show. The company is quite successful in creating a Grand Touring Bentley – a car ensuring its legacy of luxury and performance on an autobahn lane and equally exciting on sand dunes and tarmac. The car would be the third Bentley model-line alongside the bespoke Mulsanne and the high performance Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur.

Bentley is renowned for its fusion of extremes – majestic and sporty design, technology and craftsmanship, luxury and performance – and both the exterior manifestation and the interior of EXP 9 F expresses the resolution of apparent opposites in its styling and use of materials, techniques and technology. The lavish wood and the leather interiors, built-in picnic kit, tablet-like infotainment interface are more practical, for the luxury and fun it is meant for.

The power requirements of the pinnacle luxury SUV is met by a re-engineered version of the existing 6.0-litre petrol W12 engine. But the car will also be available with a V8 diesel engine or a V6-based plug-in hybrid powertrain. The Bentley values of design, craftsmanship and engineering excellence is now reaching a new terrain with the EXP 9 F!!
