BharatBenz 2828C HX, 3532C HX: Daimler’s new-age construction tippers in India
Bharatbenz has recently launched its all-new ‘HX’ series of construction and mining tippers in the Indian market, tailored for enhanced reliability and long-term ownership.
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) recently unveiled a new range of BharatBenz heavy-duty trucks, the ‘HX’ series, comprising of Bharatbenz 2828C HX (6×4) and 3532C HX (8×4) models. The company targets with its new products the big contractors in India’s growing construction and mining sectors, who aspire long-term ownership of their reliable fleets.

Building on the brand’s reputation for reliable and fuel-efficient tippers, the new Bharatbenz HX series sets itself apart on two aspects. First, the new trucks claims higher gradeability – up to 60% in 2828C and up to 54% in 3532C – for a confident climb with full load. Second, the HX series offer 360-degree reliability, with the frame, axle, powertrain, and braking designed to perform together.

Evidently, the Bharatbenz 2828C HX offers 280 hp with 1,100 Nm torque, while the 3532C HX gives an output of 320 hp and 1,250 Nm torque. Both the models are powered by Daimler’s reliable ‘OM 926‘ 7.2-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine (BSVI and OBD-II compliant). A 9-speed G131 heavy-duty transmission is standard for the latter and optional for the 2828C HX.
Adding value to the HX series are host of equipment and features towards better productivity and performance. This includes Hill Hold Assist, unitized front axle bearings, improved rear axles, and advanced driver state monitoring systems.
Moreover, an inter-axle and inter-wheel Differential Lock system, an improved version of the two-stage locking system offered in 2823C, is in place for superior traction. The Bolster Bogie Suspension with shock absorbers for the rear axles offer better load capacity and ride comfort.

The HX series also boasts a refreshed cabin design. The distinctive rugged design reflects the trucks’ capability and durability. A wind deflector has been slapped on to the face for better aerodynamics. The day cabin of Bharatbenz is already one of the best cabins in its class in terms of ergonomics and driver comfort.
To conclude, the Bharatbenz HX series has already made a significant impression on buyers. Early customer testimonials praise the tippers for their exceptional driving comfort, high fuel efficiency, and dependable service support. The lower maintenance costs are also a key highlight, ensuring that the HX series is a smart and profitable choice for construction businesses across India.
