Mahindra’s Four “Born Iconic” Vision SUV concepts based on NU_IQ platform
The Mahindra Global Vision concept SUVs are based on the all-new, modular and multi-energy NU_IQ platform and showcases the brand’s ‘Heartcore’ design philosophy.
Mahindra and Mahindra has unveiled a whole-new range of SUV concepts that are disruptive and future-ready. The company’s Global Vision 2027 revolves around revolves around 4 concept models, namely Vision.S, Vision.T, Vision.SXT and Vision.X. Set for market launch starting 2027, these SUVs are claimed as “world beating”, setting new benchmarks in terms of design, architecture, interior space and techs.
The Vision SUVs are born out of Mahindra’s modular and multi-energy ‘NU_IQ‘ architecture. The platform is considered as a strategic blueprint for the brand’s future SUVs targeting global markets. The concept cars also mark a new phase for the automaker’s ‘Heartcore‘ design philosophy. The cars are designed by Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS), in collaboration with Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) in Banbury, UK.
Mahindra claims that the Vision concept SUVs will set new standards in global markets with flat-floor architecture compatible for both ICE and electric variants. Their lightweight design, spacious cabin, superior safety and driving dynamics will redefine the ideals that the brand stands for today, the company adds.
1. Mahindra Vision.S

No doubt, this is definitely a baby Defender! The Vision.S is a compact SUV concept with boxy-styling, taller, off-roader stance, brute looks – especially the front grille with inverted L-shaped DRLs – and D-pillar accessory. This is indeed the most premium and exquisite of the four concepts that debuted today.
2. Mahindra Vision.T
This concept actually previews the next-generation Thar. The Vision.T has clearly evolved from Thar.E concept showcased two years ago. However, the SUV is unlikely to be a ‘Thar’ in conventional sense – it’s no longer a ladder frame chassis; transverse engine making it a FWD, although an AWD will be in place.

3. Mahindra Vision.SXT
The Vision.SXT is more of a rally-ready ‘Thar’, an open-back derivative from the Vision.T. Don’t miss out those chunky spare wheels strapped onto the loading bay. It is still a 5-door off-roader and will feature a minimalist interiors.
4. Mahindra Vision.X

This concept previews Mahindra’s next-gen compact SUVs. The Vision.X is designed for both ICE and EV powertrains, with standard FWD and optional AWD. The concept may beget a sub-4 metre SUV as well for the domestic market. It will be a genuine value addition to Mahindra’s product range, considering the emerging market trends.
