VinFast VF MPV 7: A ₹25 Lakh electric 7-seater for Indian roads
The 7-seat VF MPV 7 promises a driving range of 517 kms on full charge; to take on Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMax 7 in the Indian EV market.
After the successful debut of VF 6 and VF 7 compact e-SUVs in the Indian market, its time for Vietnamese EV brand expand its portfolio with yet another promising car – the all-new VinFast VF MPV 7! The brand’s local subsidiary VinFast Auto India has commercially launched single variant 7-seater in the country for a ex-showroom price of ₹24.49 lakh.
The electric MPV is powered by 60.13 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering 150 kW power and 280 Nm of torque through a front-wheel drive system. The car promises an ARAI-certified driving range of 517 kms in single charge, with 10-70 percent SoC recharge achievable via DC fast-charging. The automaker claims that the EV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 10 seconds, with a top speed limited to 140 kmph!
In terms of equipment, the car is loaded with 4 Airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control System, and all-disc brakes. The EV features Hill Start Assist, Roll Over Mitigation, Emergency Signal System, Multiple Drive and Regenerative Braking modes, and Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold function.

Inside the cabin, the features list includes smart phone connectivity, Leatherette seat upholstery and door inserts, Tilt and telescopic steering wheel, 6-way adjustable driver seat, 60:40 split second row seats with slide and recline function, and 50:50 split third rows with recline. The spacious MPV boasts a boot space of 126 liters with all seats up, expandable up to 1,240 liters.
On the design and styling front, the VF MPV 7 presents a boxy silhouette with subtle contours, although some of the detailing are quite reminiscent of the VF 6 and VF 7. At front, the signature V-shaped LED light and DRLs that is seamlessly integrate with the family grille is attention-grabbing. While sporty wheel arches, all-round cladding and chrome window beltline gives a sleek character to the MPV. The rear fascia is even more catchy with full-length LED trims and integrated spoiler.

Inside the cabin, the electric MPV may disappoint some of us. A minimalist philosophy is in place, with dual-tone black and brown or an all-black dashboard and a single 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen at the centre acting as infotainment and instrumentation for the driver. The VF MPV 7 measures 4,740 mm long, 1,872 mm wide, and 1,734 mm high, offering an expansive stance on the outside. While 2,840 mm wheelbase provides ample cabin space for all occupants.
