Mercedes-Benz V-Class Extra LWB: Pinnacle of luxury personal mobility
The all-new Mercedes-Benz V-Class range (Diesel V300d and Petrol V300) starts at an introductory price of Rs. 1.4 crore; will be manufactured locally in India.

Luxury MPVs in India have gradually progressed into a niche, premium segment for personal mobility in India in recent years. Buyers in this segment are starting to appreciate the phenomenal practicality and comfort dynamics of these “vans” over premium sedans, both for intra-city or long commutes.
Joining, or to be precise, rejoining the bandwagon is the all-new 2026 Mercedes-Benz V-Class. It is reintroduced in the Indian market in an extra-long wheelbase (3,430 mm) configuration with a sophisticated 6-seat layout. With 5,370 mm long and 1,928 mm high, the imposing dimensions of the vehicle provide a serene environment for those who aspire for “lounge on wheels”!

The van guarantees sophisticated comfort in all three rows. The front row serves as a luxurious command center with electrically adjustable and ventilated seats. The second row seats are equipped with 3-stage ventilation, massage functions, calf support, deployable cupholders, and wireless charging. In a segment-first achievement, the third row also offers ventilated seats, alongside 3-point seat belts and ISOFIX child seat anchorage.
The new V-Class marks a significant milestone as it debuts a petrol engine for the first time in India. Case in point is the 2.0-litre engine delivering 228 bhp, along with a 15 kW (20 bhp) mild hybrid system. The diesel variant produces 233 bhp, and both the engine are paired with the 9G-TRONIC transmission. The brand’s quintessential AIRMATIC air suspension is standard in both the variants, which is reportedly tuned for Indian road conditions.
Of course, you can’t miss the grandeur the V-Class presents. It comes standard with the AMG Line exterior and interior, featuring a star-pattern radiator grille, 18-inch AMG alloy wheels, and a signature LED light strip. Convenience is integrated into every detail, from electric sliding doors on both sides to an electrically operable split tailgate designed for easy loading in confined spaces.
