2025 Renault Kiger: A ‘bold’ new facelift with safety add-ons
Renault Kiger facelift present a bold evolution in exterior styling and interior cosmetics, but the real addition is in the safety and convenience department with 6 airbags and ventilated front seats.
It’s been about 4.5 years since Renault Kiger was launched in the Indian market. In sync with emerging market preferences, a mid-term facelift to the sub-4m compact SUV was already overdue. Especially when its “product double” Nissan Magnite has already received its facelift turn. Expectations were also higher with the recent launch of the revised Renault Triber.

In this backdrop, Renault India has unveiled its new 2025-model year Kiger SUV to the Indian audience. The new car is said to pack 35 enhancements, including revised styling, technological features and safety add-ons. The company has also curated the trims, with the new top-end Techno and Emotion turbo variants priced at ₹9.99 Lakhs and ₹10.29 Lakhs (ex-showroom) respectively.
What’s all new?
The first thing you’ll notice is the new Renault Kiger looks bold and smart. The front fascia is completely redesigned with Renault’s new logo, giving it a sleek and appealing face. The squared-off stance, along with the extended chin and rear skid plates, really emphasize a robust SUV character.

And there’s more. The 16-inch alloys are sporty, while the new graphics under the door and badging are refreshing. The overall silhouette and body panel designs remain largely the same as before, as expected. On the inside, very minimal cosmetic changes can be spotted, including the new black and light grey colour combination. Two new exterior paint options – Oasis Yellow and Shadow Grey – are on the list, taking the color palette count to 7 shades.
But the real additions can be found in the car’s equipment list. The 2025 Renault Kiger adds 2 more airbags (curtain), with front and side airbags already on offer. Next, the company has added ventilated seats for the front row, along with 360-degree multi-view camera system, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers for stress-free driving experience. These new features join the 21 standard safety features already offered across all variants.
Value-for-money proposition
One of the biggest strength of Renault Kiger is its value proposition. You get more for the price, in terms of the product design, equipment, performance, safety and driving experience, despite average brand image and service support. The 2025 Kiger retains its core strengths, assured by its robust CMFA+ platform and 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine in naturally-aspirated and turbo avatars.

The car’s versatile transmission options including the standard 5-speed manual, the Easy-R AMT, and the advanced X-Tronic CVT are really commendable. The Kiger facelift is also now available with a retrofitted CNG option (only in manual transmission) and is E20-fuel compliant. With competitive pricing and impressive features, the new Renault Kiger is stepping up its game to crack the market.
