Nissan Magnite begins a ‘bold’ new chapter in India
The new 2025 Nissan Magnite is more than just a facelift, but presents a whole new package of premium styling and class-leading equipment and tech features that the sub 4-m compact SUV was devoid of.

Nissan has made a significant progress in its Indian line-up with the launch of the new Nissan Magnite. The compact SUV, renowned for its value-for-money propositions, has been a decent success since its debut in 2020, but was desperately in need of some new vigour. The latest revision aims to ward off its ‘budget’ image with premium attributes, while also further solidifying its position in the company’s business strategy in India.
The new Magnite boasts a revamped exterior design, featuring a tougher, more robust look that exudes confidence and enhances its road presence. Sleek LED headlamps, redesigned “Honeycomb” grille, stylish taillamps, and signature L-shaped DRLs accentuate its modern appeal. Inside, the cabin offers a premium and luxurious experience with a refined interior, premium leather upholstery, and an array of advanced features.

The car’s body structure is strengthened with 67 percent advanced and high-tensile steel, according to the manufacturer.
There is no change in engine and transmission options for the car, which include 1.0-litre Petrol manual and AMT (“EZ-Shift”) and 1.0-litre turbo petrol with a manual and CVT gearbox. The new 2025 Nissan Magnite is launched with an introductory price of ₹5.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom price) in India, targeting the upcoming festive season.

Business wise too, the new Magnite marks a significant expansion of Nissan’s export markets. The model’s popularity and demand in various countries have enabled the company to increase its export footprint to over 65 international markets. This development reinforces Nissan’s global positioning and affirms India’s importance in its manufacturing strategy.
On the whole, the upgraded Nissan Magnite is a compelling offering that is now well packaged in terms of design, features, equipment and competitive pricing. The car is has certainly become a magnet of attention now, and is likely to see better sales numbers than before.
