Tata Daewoo Dexen Vision: Next-gen Intermediate Truck for South Korea
Tata Daewoo Dexen Vision is designed and engineered for high-performance and value-added ownership experience, in sync with the evolving needs of the South Korean commercial vehicle industry.

In South Korea, Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicles has launched its updated light and intermediate truck range 2023 ‘Dexen Vision‘. With a modern and fresh cabin to the likings of the digital age, and high-performance engine and transmission options, the new truck is said to be making a buzz in Korean truck market.
The Dexen Vision cab design and styling may slightly resemble Tata Ultra medium-duty cab, but the former’s low-slung and wider stance coupled with sporty grille and side decals differentiates it with Ultra.
On the inside, the cab is all fab with an ergonomically-designed, dual tone driver cockpit for optimum comfort and functionality. The all-digital instrumentation display for the driver is futuristic in the truck segment, while the 10.25-inch touch-screen infotainment system is a nice touch. The system support both Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
The cabin certainly offers a car-like impression with seamless design and premium built. Other features include air-suspended and ventilated seat for driver, adjustable steering, smart-key and start-stop button, Eco-mode for efficient driving, and rollaway bed in sleeper cabs.
The Dexen Vision is equipped with an FPT Industrial-sourced ED45 4-cylinder in-line diesel engine that generates 186 hp or 206 hp power. A ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox does the transmission duties, while the option of a ZF 6-speed manual is also available. FPT’s proprietary eSCR emission after-treatment system makes the engine Euro 6-C compliant.

The truck is available in 3-tonne, 4-tonne and 5-tonne payload ratings, with day- and sleeper cab options. In its flagship variant, the Dexen Vision comes with a cargo deck that measures 6.23 metres long and 2.31 metres wide.
The company claims that the truck’s chassis boasts excellent durability with high-strength frame design. The Dexen Vision comes with full air-brakes with ABS and hill-hold function as well.

It is to be noted that the Tata Motors-owned Korean company launched the light-duty truck ‘Cen‘ in 2021 and heavy-duty ‘Maxen‘ just last year. The Dexen Vision is essentially a makeover of the Cen truck.
