The Evo series boasts a power output of 300 hp.

MAN Trucks India has launched the new upgraded BS 4-compliant CLA ‘EVO’ range of heavy-duty trucks at the Bauma ConExpo India 2016, Delhi NCT last week. The range includes two models – 25.300 (6×4) construction tipper and 49.300 (6×4) tractor head unit. Locally manufactured at the company’s Pithampur factory, the Evo range is specifically designed for the tough working conditions with robust and reliable technology. Apart from the local domestic market, these trucks are exported to other markets in Asia, Africa, and Middle East.

MAN India, a fully-owned subsidiary of MAN Truck & Bus AG, Germany, marks 10 years of presence in the Indian market with the local assembly of its ‘CLA’ range of trucks. The CLA trucks covers tonnages from 15 to 37 tonnes GVW across various segments including cargo haulage, tippers and construction equipment, and public utility category. The latest ‘Evo’ series of CLA boasts technological upgrades and more power with enhanced fuel efficiency and safety meeting global standards, says the company.

Both the Evo trucks are powered by MAN D-0836 engine – a 6.9 litre 6-cylinder in-line, turbocharged and intercooled diesel unit. Paired to a 9-speed gearbox, the engine generates range-topping 300 hp of power. MAN claims that the common-rail technology coupled with turbo makes the engine fuel efficient, environment friendly and most reliable.
