2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Winter Test Edition Unveiled
MY2017 Ninja 300 range is expected for launch in India next year.
The updates 2017 model-year Kawasaki Ninja 300 series has been launched in USA. The range includes three models – standard trim (with optional ABS), KRT edition, and Winter Test edition. The regular Ninja 300 seems unchanged, while the Winter Test edition gets tweaked styling along with a wider rear tyre.
The new Ninja 300 is powered by the same 296 cc Parallel Twin liquid-cooled engine with dual over-head cam (DOHC) and dual throttle valves. It is paired to a 6-speed, coupled with a slipper clutch with an assist cam. The company has not revealed the revised engine output ratings, but it is likely to the same as before – 39 PS max power at 11,000 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm.

The styling of the Ninja sub-brand is known for its aggressive gmass-forward and minimalist-tail design. Sharing numerous cues from the the premium models like the ZX-10R, the 300 features sporty-yet-elegant looks, thanks to the floating-style windscreen and dual-headlamps amid other elements.
While the KRT Racing Team Edition comes with black-green paint scheme with unique graphics inspired from the Kawasaki Racing Team, the Winter Test Edition features matte black graphics and styling elements on the lines of Kawasaki’s WSBK winter testing team. Both the variants have standard ABS, while the latter alone features a wider 150 mm rear tyre and a taller windshield.

In India, Kawasaki is expected to bring in the 2017 model-year Ninja 300 anytime soon. Last October, the 2016 Ninja 300 KRT Edition was introduced for INR 3.78 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The company is yet to confirm whether the Winter Test Edition will be launched in the Indian market.
