Long Live LIVA! Toyota’s New Funky Hatch

With the extravagent response to its entry-level sedan the
Etios, Toyota is all set to address the growing premium hatchback segment in
Etios style. The much awaited Etios Liva, hatch version of the Etios sedan, is
to be launched by 27 this month.

The entry of the Liva hatch would be a vociferous headache
to the class toppers including the VW Polo, Maruti Swift, Nissan Micra and the
yet to be launched Honda Brio. The Liva would hopefully be powered with a 1.2
litre petrol motor mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with a maximum power
of 80bhp.

The Etios Liva would mark Toyota’s entry into the highly
popular premium hatchback segment. As it is expected around the price tag of
Rs.4.5 – Rs.5 lakhs, Liva is going to be a value offering and would definitely
look for a great response among the Indian buyers.
