Mahindra Imperio Customised Pick-up – 2016 Auto Expo

Mahindra pick-up Imperio

Mahindra has presented an army of cars at the on-going 2016 Auto Expo, including this customised double-cab Imperio pick-up variant.

Although there are lots of added-up decorations than any major design change, this Imperio presents itself to the league of proper-SUV made personal vehicle category pick-ups that we have seen in the past.

Those exterior styling add-ons that have been made to the regular production vehicle are the chrome-finish bull bar, matt-black finish plastic claddings on the sides over the wheel arches and lower part of the doors, glossy-black 6-spoke alloy wheels, window visors, and a rear-chrome roll-bar with additional fog lamps over the roof. On the inside, there is hardly any difference from the production vehicle, apart from the new seats graphic.

Mechanicals wise, the Imperio houses under the hood a 2.5-liter DI diesel engine with Common Rail setup and ‘Fuel Smart’ Technology. It is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and delivers 75 hp and 220 Nm of max torque.

Other pick-up trucks that are on display at the show are the new Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pick-up and the global-spec Chevy Colorado ‘High Country’ edition.
