Gulfstream G300: Next-gen super-midsize business jet launched
The all-new Gulfstream G300 will replace the Gulfstream G280 business jet; features advanced avionics, new flight deck, and other technological and safety enhancements.
US-based Gulfstream Aerospace has introduced the new G300 twin-engine, super-midsize business jet for its global customers. The new aircraft has accomplished nearly 22,000 hours of testing at the company’s lab facilities, with the completion of its first flight last month. The G300 builds on the highly successful Gulfstream G280 program.
The G300 combines trans-Atlantic range with short-field agility, with a flying range of 6,667 kms at Mach 0.80 and 5,556 kms at Mach 0.84 speed. The aircraft’s maximum cruise altitude is rated as 45,000 ft. It is powered by two Honeywell HTF7250G turbofan jet engines, with a rated take-off thrust of 7,624 lb each. The jet’s clean, swept Gulfstream wing supports fuel-efficiency, supported by its aerodynamic design and lightweight-yet-sturdy construction.

The all-new ‘Harmony’ flight deck includes six touch screens, paired with Phase-of-Flight intelligence, bringing intuitive technology to pilots. A Synthetic Vision-Primary Flight Display depicts runways and terrain in 3D imagery to boost pilot situational awareness, while the Predictive Landing Performance System dynamically displays the runway stopping point in real time.
The business jet’s cabin features two living areas, with a seating capacity for 10 passengers and sleeping berths for 5 at max. Ten panoramic ‘Oval Windows’ distinctive of Gulfstream’s design is carried forward in the G300 design as well.

“Fueled by a decade of investment and our future-forward approach, the Gulfstream next-generation fleet offers our customers the most innovative family of aircraft,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream.
“We know how important the super-midsize cabin segment is to our customers, so building on the highly successful G280 program, the G300 will reenergize the category with its heightened technology and safety enhancements, alongside the legendary comfort and styling of a Gulfstream”, he added.
The G300 sits at the start of Gulfstream’s product stable of business jets. The company’s other premium offerings include medium-sized G400, G500, and G600, and large G700 and G800 twin-jet business aircrafts.
