Mahindra KUV100 Anniversary Edition

Priced at INR 6.37 lakh; gets exterior styling and interior updates.

Mahindra has given an anniversary edition to its tiny crossover KUV100, as it completes one year on our roads. Available in the high-end K8 variant for INR 6.37 Lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi), the special edition features dual-tone styling makeover outside and classy black interior theme. The company is also offering multiple sporty and premium personalisation kits for the car, which can be opted by the buyers.

The KUV100 Anniversary Edition, on the outside, renders a bright impression, thanks to the ‘Flamboyant Red’ or ‘Dazzling Silver’ paint scheme with shiny black roof, window pillars, and lower section of the bumpers. Chunky 15-inch alloys with ‘dynamic design’ pattern elevates the ride height of the car a bit.

Inside, the Anniversary Edition boasts sporty black color theme with an slightly refreshed upholstery design. Mahindra is now offering four packages of styling kits for the buyers to choose, which includes two exterior and two interior customization deals. All these new features are available only in the top-end K8 trim only. The entry-level K2 variant starts with a price tag of INR 4.58 Lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

Unfortunately, the 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines seems to have got no updates with the anniversary edition. Although the diesel is hassle-free, the petrol variants of the KUV100 suffer from poor fuel efficiency, resulting in negative feedback from customers and depreciated sales. It is expected that a retuned petrol variant of KUV100 is on the anvil, with re-engineered air-con compressor and tweaked ECU and throttle configuration for improved fuel efficiency. It is also reported that the engine mounts are to be optimised for improved refinement.
