Harley-Davidson India: 6 New Bikes Introduced For 2017
Harley’s entire product line-up in India now gets standard ABS.
Harley-Davidson India has recently updated its product line-up for our market. This includes the all-new 2017 ‘Touring Line’ range of bikes – Road King, Street Glide Special, and Road Glide Special – powered by the company’s next-generation ‘Milwaukee-Eight’ V-twin engine. The Road Glide Special model makes the Indian debut, along with Harley-Davidson Roadster 1200. Rest of the existing bikes now boast 2017-model year upgrades.

#1. 2017 H-D Street 750
The Street 750 is the legendary brand’s entry-level offering in India. Priced at INR 4.91 Lakhs, the 2017 model gets ABS as standard equipment for the first time. Further, you can now opt for some new dual-tone paint jobs. It is a fabulous all-rounder with an affordable price tag.
#2. 2017 H-D Roadster
Derived from the Sportster XL 1200, this model is made to look like a custom-built roadster from the 1960s era. The Roadster has a café bike styling and stance, with mid-position pegs and a slammed drag bar that gives a unique lean forward riding position. It is powered by the same 1,202cc Evolution V-twin engine as the 1200 Custom and Forty-Eight models. It is priced at INR 9.70 Lakhs.

##2017 H-D Touring Line
Combined with graceful style and touring function, Harley claims that you don’t just ride through the landscape, but you’re the most majestic part of the scenery! Seems honest to me. Syling aside, all the 3 models in this league are powered by the new 1,745cc oil-cooled ‘Milwaukee-Eight’ V-twins. The engine generate 85-90 PS of max power and 150 Nm of torque at 3,250 rpm.
# 3. Road King
It’s like nostalgia meeting versatility and performance of modern-day Harley. The Road King’s chrome elements and distinct styling is reminiscent of 1960s, while the all-new dual bending valve front suspension and rear emulsion shocks are for today’s nippy ride. It is priced at INR 26.49 Lakhs.
#4. Street Glide Special
This one for those who want top-class, plush touring. Look what all is included – a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with in-built GPS, BOOM! Box 6.5 GT music system, and unmatched suspension with ABS braking. Prices starting at INR 31.25 Lakhs.
#5. Road Glide Special
Dominated by frame-mounted shark nose fairing and dual-LED headlamps, the Road Glide Special is one hell of an aggressive tourer. You get everything from the Street Glide Special here, along with better tuned suspension and wind-cutting ability. Costs you little more than Street Glide at INR 32.81 Lakhs.
#6. 2017 H-D CVO Limited
This flag-ship Harley is way too special than any other Harleys. Reason being that it stands not just atop the entire line-up, but also at the pinnacle of power, comfort, and styling. It is custom-built, with premium seat stitching and inserts. Power is from a larger 1,868cc ‘Milwaukee-Eight’ liquid-cooled V-twin engine generating up to 100 PS and 165 Nm of max torque at 3,250 rpm. For all the bells and whistles you get, the CVO limited is, of course, high priced at INR 50.62 Lakhs.
