The NS200 ABS generates 23.5 PS power and 18.3 Nm of torque.
Bajaj Auto has formally launched the ABS-equipped version of its popular Pulsar NS200. The bike variant is now available in all metros and will gradually be delivered to all other dealerships across the country. It is around INR 12,500 costlier than the non-ABS variant, with a tag price of INR 1,09,715, ex-showroom Delhi. Perhaps, the Pulsar NS200 is the cheapest ABS-equipped product from the company´s stable in India.
The NS200 ABS will be available in three paint options – Wild Red, Graphite Black, and Mirage White. There is also a distinctive ABS label on the front fender of the bike. Otherwise, there is hardly any visual difference between the ABS and the regular NS200. The bike continues to use the 199.5cc SOHC 4-valve, Liquid Cooled DTS-i engine generating 23.5 PS of power at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of maximum torque at 8,000 rpm. A 6-speed gearbox is standard.
The NS200 features single-channel ABS with an exclusive 300mm disc, assisting the other 280mm disc on the front wheel. The rear wheel features a 230mm disc brake. ABS helps to improve the rider´s control of the bike during harsh braking, by preventing the front wheels from locking up. The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 lock horns with the TVS Apache RTR 200 4v and Yamaha FZ25 in its segment.
