TVS Creon Concept Electric Scooter – Auto Expo 2018
Features futuristic smart connected techs developed along with Intel.
Keeping abreast with the electro-mobility developments in the country, TVS Motor Company revealed its all-new electric scooter concept ‘Creon’ at the 2018 Auto Expo last week. The company is collaborating with Intel to produce smart-connected gadgets for upcoming hybrid and electric products in pursuit of energy-efficient and connected mobility for future.
The Creon concept is a futuristic-yet-funky scooter with ‘Transformer’-inspired body design and colour graphics. The styling elements include sleek LED headlamp, diamond-cut alloys, and sporty seating with elongated body. It is built using a light-weight aluminium perimeter frame. The conventional leg room area of the scooter houses the Lithium-ion battery pack that can deliver a power of 12 kW.
The electric motor drives the rear wheels, with 0-60 acceleration in just 5.1 seconds. TVS claims a riding range of 80 kms on full charge, with a charging time up to 1 hour for 80 percent recharge. Telescopic forks and an offset monoshocker takes care of suspension up front and rear respectively. While disc brakes on both wheels assisted by ABS does the braking duty.
The TVS Creon is equipped with an all-digital instrumentation display that conveys all necessary vehicular stats. It also supports cloud-based connectivity and GPS navigation and tracking, along with geo-fencing. Other key features on the list are smartphone charging, regenerative braking, park assist, anti-theft device, and three custom driving modes.
