Demonstrates Signa platform’s capabilities for truck-mounted construction applications.

Tata Motors has showcased the Signa 2518.K truck mounted with Schwing Stetter concrete boom pump at the 2018 Auto Expo, Greater Noida. In sync with “Smart Mobility, Smart Cities” theme, the truck is displayed at the ‘Rising City Zone’ at the expo pavilion, catering to the needs of the city under construction.

Tata Motors is boosting up the appeal of the Signa range of medium and heavy-duty trucks, which was launched at the last edition of 2016 Auto Expo. The company claims that Signa offers increased productivity and reliability, making it an indispensable asset for large captive users, miners or transporters. It is adding more and more variants in the range, across tonnage segments and application categories.

Tata Signa Schwing Stetter Concrete Pump

Tata Signa 2518.K Schwing Stetter Concrete Pump envisaged to cater to the needs of the smart cities under construction.

The Signa 2518.K with concrete pump is powered by Cummins ISBe 5.9-litre, 6-cylinder common-rail diesel engine that deliver 180 hp (132 kW) power at 2,500 rpm and 700 Nm torque at 1,300-1,800 rpm. It is mated to 9-speed manual gearbox. The truck features ladder-type heavy-duty frame with a Signa day-cabin. With robust axle and suspension setup, the truck is best suited for construction-related applications, according to the truck maker.

Tata Motors claim that cab mounting suspension is greatly improved for optimum driver comfort, complemented by 4-way adjustable driver seat. Air-conditioning is optional, while Tata Fleetman Telematics is a standard feature with the range.
