Mahindra Blazo 37 with Pusher Lift Axle – Auto Expo 2018

Mahindra Trucks and Buses is expanding the 37-tonne truck portfolio with the addition of Blazo 37 rigid truck with pusher axle. The company has displayed the new truck variant at the 2018 Auto Expo, Greater Noida, with a guarantee of best fuel efficiency and higher payload capacity in the segment.
The Blazo 37 pusher axle will be available in cabin and cowl chassis options, thereby catering to unique applications like tippler and tipper, concrete pump or mixer applications etc. Pusher axles offers greater advantage in terms of balanced cargo weight distribution and center of gravity, which contributes to improved braking and handling characteristics of the truck, especially on highways. Almost every other truck manufacturers are offering this pusher axle variants in the 37 tonne segment, and is getting wider market acceptance in the country.
The new truck is powered by the same ‘mPower’ 7.2-litre diesel engine with ‘FuelSmart’ technology as the other Blazo 37 variants. Paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the engine generates max power of 274 hp at 2,200 rpm and 950 Nm torque at 1,100-1,700 rpm. Brakes are full-air S-cam type and ABS-assisted. The single sleeper cabin gets optional air-conditioning feature, along with a driver information system. Top speed is limited to 80 kmph and the gradeability of the truck is rated at 21 percent.
Mahindra has also presented Blazo 25 tipper (BS IV) and Blazo ’49 Smart Truck’ tractor at the 2018 Auto Expo.
