Aprilia SR 125 Moto Sport Scooter – Auto Expo 2018

Italian motorcycle maker Aprilia has presented the 125 cc version of its popular ‘SR’ sporty scooter at the 2018 Auto Expo. The SR 125 is positioned below the existing SR 150 model, and is likely to attract urban buyers who seek more fuel efficiency than its 150 cc iteration. The scooter will be made available in Aprilia and Vespa dealerships across the country.

The company has displayed two colour options available in the SR 125 model, along with a host of funky graphics on the front and body that differentiates it with the 150 cc model. The 14-inch alloy wheels, seat, and the handle-bar remains the same as its sibling.

The new Aprilia SR 125 will woo urban buyers who seek more mileage than SR 150.

Powering the new scooter is a 124.49 cc carburetted, air-cooled 3-valve petrol engine that makes 9.5 PS power at 7,250 rpm and 9.9 Nm of max torque at 6,250 rpm. Suspension and braking mechanics on both the wheels remains the same as SR 150. The Aprilia scooters feature 220 mm disc brake with twin-piston floating calipers up front, and a 140 mm drum brake at the rear. Fuel tank capacity is 6.5 litres.
